Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By creating an account on GameVerse you declare that you are at least 18 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) and you fully agree to these terms. Use of the platform is conditioned on this acceptance.

2. Account and security

  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity on your account.
  • Accounts created with email require confirmation via link before first access.
  • Passwords are checked against public breach databases. Compromised passwords will be rejected.
  • Attempts at intrusion, reverse engineering, or abuse result in immediate ban.

3. Allowed and prohibited content

GameVerse allows the sale of video courses, plugins (ZIP files), and assets (ZIP files) aimed at game development. The following are strictly prohibited:
  • Content protected by third-party copyright without explicit authorization.
  • Malware, malicious code, hidden miners, keyloggers, or backdoors.
  • Cheats, hacks, or tools that violate the terms of third-party services.
  • Discriminatory, sexual content involving minors, violent, or illegal content.
  • Pyramid schemes, fraud, or misleading products.

4. Product presentation and image gallery

Each product published on the platform must include, at minimum, a clear and representative cover image, which will serve as its visual identity in storefronts and search results. The seller may optionally attach additional images (gallery) showing the product in use — screenshots, usage examples, interfaces, before-and-after, or relevant variations. Using the gallery is strongly recommended: products with complete visual material show significantly higher conversion rates and generate fewer support and refund requests.
  • Images must faithfully reflect the delivered content; misleading mockups or unauthorized third-party screenshots are prohibited.
  • The cover and gallery go through the same editorial review applied to the rest of the product.
  • GameVerse may request replacement of images considered low quality or unsuitable for the audience.

5. Product documentation

We strongly recommend that every seller provide clear and sufficient documentation about the product being sold. Adequate documentation protects the seller against disputes, reduces support load, and directly improves the buyer's experience. Minimum documentation is considered to include:
  • Technical requirements: engine version, operating system, dependencies, and compatibility.
  • Installation and usage instructions: clear step-by-step guide, including initial setup.
  • Product scope: what is included, what is not, and known limitations.
  • Licensing: permitted commercial use, redistribution, required credits.
  • Support channel: average response time and ways to get in touch.
Documentation may be included in the delivered file itself (README, PDF), in the product's full description field, or both. Lack of adequate documentation may be grounds for suspension of the listing or for approving refunds in favor of the buyer.

6. Upload review

Every submitted product goes through review by the GameVerse team before publication. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or request changes to any content, without prior notice, especially if it violates sections 3, 4, or 5.

7. Payments and commission

  • GameVerse retains 20% (twenty percent) of the value of each transaction as a platform fee.
  • Sellers must register verified banking details to receive payouts.
  • Refunds follow the rules in section 7.1 below.

7.1 Refund policy

Refunds are available for courses only. Downloadable products — plugins, assets, templates and any other file-based product — are final sales and cannot be refunded, because the content is delivered immediately and can be copied.

  • Courses: you may request a refund within 7 (seven) days of purchase, from your library. Requests are reviewed by the GameVerse team.
  • Downloadable products: no refunds. Before buying, read the description, the requirements and the documentation, and look at every image in the gallery to make sure the product is exactly what you need. If in doubt, message the seller before paying.
  • Products that are proven to be fraudulent, malicious, or grossly different from what was advertised are handled as moderation cases and may be reversed by GameVerse regardless of type.

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the content you submit. By publishing it, you grant GameVerse a non-exclusive license to host, display, process, and deliver the content to buyers.

9. Automated moderation

We use an automated system to detect inappropriate content. Suspicious activity generates alerts for human review. Final decisions on suspension or ban are always made by the moderation team.

10. Privacy and data

We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform. We do not sell your data to third parties. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time.

11. Account termination

You may close your account at any time. GameVerse may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice, depending on the severity of the violation.

12. Changes to the terms

These terms may be updated. Significant changes will be notified by email and through the platform. Continued use after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.

13. Copyright (DMCA)

If you are a copyright holder and have identified infringing content on the platform, submit a report through our DMCA policy. We review within 72 business hours.
